Stages of the Build – The Pool Construction Process
At Cloud 9 Pools, our pool construction process is designed to ensure a smooth and efficient experience from start to finish. Here’s a detailed look at each stage of building your dream pool:
1. Contact
Drop us an email with your address and we will send out a questionnaire for you to answer. From there we will send out an estimate quote.
2. Initial Consultation and Quote
When you have an estimate price and an idea of our products etc. Rob and Glenn will meet you onsite to discuss your design needs and vision. Based on this consultation, we’ll provide a detailed quote tailored to your specific preferences.
3. Preliminary Agreement Once you accept the quote, we’ll finalise a preliminary agreement to outline the next steps and secure the project’s details.
4. Design and Approval
Our team will create detailed plans based on your design specifications. These plans will be submitted for approval from a Principal Certifying Authority to ensure they meet all regulatory requirements.
5. Contract Finalisation
With approved plans in hand, we’ll sign a formal contract and collect a 5% deposit to commence the project.
6. Excavation We begin the excavation phase, which typically takes 3-4 days depending on site conditions. This step involves digging out the pool area and preparing the site for construction.
7. Formwork and Steel Reinforcement
After excavation, formwork and reinforcing steel are installed. This stage sets the foundation for the pool structure and ensures its durability.
8. Pre-Plumbing
We then install the skimmer box and pipework, integrating these components with the reinforcing steel to ensure a smooth and efficient plumbing setup.
9. Concrete Application
Concrete is sprayed onto the pool structure, creating the shell. The concrete is left to cure for 28 days, allowing it to reach optimal strength and durability.
10. Tiling
Following the curing period, we install waterline tiles and coping around the pool. This adds the finishing touch to the pool’s appearance and functionality.
11. Fencing
Once the coping and any surrounding paving are completed, we erect the pool fence. This ensures the pool area is secure and compliant with safety regulations.
12. Interior Finishing
The selected interior finish is applied to the pool. This process takes one day, and the pool is then filled with water the following day.
13. Filtration and Equipment Installation
We install the pump, filter, and other filtration equipment, followed by the addition of necessary chemicals. This setup ensures your pool is ready for use and operating efficiently.
14. Enjoy Your Pool
With everything in place, you can now enjoy your new pool. Take a dive and experience the luxury of your freshly built backyard oasis!
15. Handover and Orientation
Rob will visit your home to walk you through the operation of your pool equipment, explain warranties, and provide guidance on pool maintenance and cleaning.
16. Final Sign-Off
We’ll register your pool with the NSW Swimming Pool Register and arrange for a private certifier to inspect and officially sign off on your new pool.
By following these steps, Cloud 9 Pools ensures a seamless and rewarding experience, from initial design to the moment you take your first swim.
