Frequently Asked Questions

Pool Construction FAQs

How Long Does It Take to Build a Pool?

The timeline for building a pool can vary based on several factors including the complexity of the design, site conditions, and any additional construction work such as house builds, decks, paving, or fencing. Weather conditions can also impact the schedule.

On average, the construction of a pool takes between 4 to 6 months. Please note that we cannot fill your pool with water until the permanent pool safety fence is installed.

What is My Warranty?

Every Cloud 9 Pool comes with a comprehensive 7-year structural warranty, ensuring the durability and integrity of your pool.

In addition, all pool equipment is covered by specific manufacturer’s warranties, which we will discuss in detail during the handover process.

Are There Any Unexpected Considerations When It Comes to Pool Design and Installation?

Yes, there can be unexpected challenges during the excavation phase. Potential issues include:

  • Sewer Lines: Often not visible on plans and can complicate the installation.
  • Rock: Presence of rock cannot be determined until excavation begins.
  • Buried Waste: Common in older suburbs and may impact the project.

These factors are addressed on a ‘do and charge’ basis to keep additional costs as minimal as possible. We will always inform you of potential issues upfront to avoid unexpected expenses.

Who Handles Certification and Council Requirements, and What Documents Are Needed?

Cloud 9 Pools manages all certification and council-related matters. We liaise directly with our certifier and the local council to ensure all necessary applications are completed.

Required documents include:

  • Planning Certificates from the council
  • Deposited Plans
  • Land Title Details

If there is a sewer line near your pool location, a Peg Out may be required. For sloping blocks or extremely narrow access, a survey and Geotech report may also be necessary.

Can You Build a Pool in a Small Space?

Yes, one of the advantages of a concrete pool is its versatility. We can customise the design to fit your available space while adhering to the Building Code of Australia and local council development plans.

How Much Will a Concrete Pool Cost?

The cost of a concrete pool varies greatly depending on numerous factors such as the size and design of the pool, site conditions, excavation requirements, pool finish, and landscaping.
